Help keep Tel Hai a place where people meet with God.

Re-Energized to Revitalize is a $1,000,000 campaign to renew the lakefront, dining hall, pool, gym,
and Spruce Lodge that campers, families, and church groups use every year.

Goal: $1,000,000
Goal: $1,000,000 12%

More than 2,000 campers stay with us each year. You can give online,
mail a check, or call (610) 273-3969 to talk with our team about your gift.

Why Tel Hai's camp facilities need renewal

75 years of ministry wears on a place.

Tel Hai began in 1950 as a summer outreach to children from New York City. Today more than 2,000 campers a year walk the same grounds. Some church groups have returned for over 40 years. That kind of faithfulness shows up in the buildings. The pool's filtration equipment is due for replacement. Spruce Lodge needs a ramp and first-floor restrooms so every guest can get inside. The island in the lake is losing ground to erosion. Each project in this campaign removes something that stands between a guest and a good week with God.

Capital campaign projects at Tel Hai Camp & Retreat

Five projects. One $1,000,000 goal.

Every dollar is assigned. Here is what each project includes and what it changes for the people who stay with us.

Lakefront Project ($290,000)

  • A healthier lake and a dock campers can actually use. Swimming, boating, and quiet time on the water all start at the shoreline.
  • Island erosion control to stop the island from washing away
  • Tree and shrub control along the banks
  • A replacement fountain, plus a bubbler on the west end to keep water moving
  • EZ Dock installation with a new bulkhead and sidewalks
  • Boat house rehab

Dining Hall Addition ($240,000)

  • Restrooms, laundry, and storage built right onto the dining hall, so groups stay together at mealtimes and staff can serve them well.
  • Men’s and women’s restrooms
  • A mechanical room
  • Storage area
  • On-site laundry
  • A covered entrance that keeps guests dry on rainy days

Pool Upgrades ($180,000)

Clean, safe water every summer. A variable-speed motor also cuts the energy it takes to run the pool, which is stewardship campers never see.

  • New filtration system
  • New circulation pump
  • Variable frequency drive motor
  • Backwash holding tank
  • Updated pool cover

Revitalization of the Gym ($165,000)

Youth groups can play hard on rainy days. Adults can hear each other during an evening session.

  • New flooring with basketball and pickleball court lines built in
  • New windows and doors
  • Freshly painted walls
  • Sound-deadening panels to cut the echo

Spruce Lodge Addition ($125,000)

Guests who use a wheelchair or walker can stay in Spruce Lodge with everyone else. Groups gain a kitchenette for snacks and late-night conversation.

  • ADA-accessible restrooms on the first floor
  • Showers, including an ADA shower
  • An ADA ramp from the exterior
  • Basement kitchenette

The pool’s filtration equipment is due for replacement, the island in our lake is losing ground to erosion, and Spruce Lodge needs a ramp and first-floor restrooms so every guest can get inside.

The Lakefront Project is $290,000. The Dining Hall Addition is $240,000. Pool Upgrades are $180,000, the gym is $165,000, and the Spruce Lodge Addition is $125,000. Together they make up the $1,000,000 goal.

Church and ministry groups come year-round for retreats, and partner organizations host Christ-centered summer camps for children and students here. Tel Hai also runs its own events, like Dad and Lad Camp and the Mother/Daughter weekend. Some church retreats have returned for more than 40 years.
